The Accountant is integral to our Finance team as the Accountant will be working alongside a group who is focused on promoting exceptional accounting, reporting and analysis.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant with an enthusiasm to grow and learn. This role will have direct interactions with the work completed by the finance teams in the US and India, as well as interface with other teams in respective AXIS business units across the globe.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Finance Reporting Managers and Assistant Controller with the review and/or production of annual and quarterly regulatory reports (Yellowbook) for four US legal entities
  • Utilize Blackline, a process management tool, to manage offshore team deliverables, provide feedback and monitor compliance with review checklists, which feed into service level agreements reporting metrics
  • Prepare legal entity controller reports for non-operating entities and explain variances
  • Provide support with audit/examination inquiries
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations
  • Assist with special projects and create ad-hoc reports as required by the manager
  • Maintain knowledge of current jurisdiction specific accounting and regulatory standards
  • Other accounting and reporting responsibilities as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
