NTI Connect seeks an experienced, customer focused Business Development Manager to perform business development and account management activities with named cable MSO accounts. The successful applicant will be primarily focused on bringing on new customers who can benefit from our service lines as well as additional revenue streams from existing clientele. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for meeting new business objectives and annual sales quotas while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing. We are looking for a results-oriented professional who values productivity and meaningful customer engagement.


  • Business development and account management across all NTI Connect services lines for named cable MSO provider accounts as identified by the manager
  • Create, update, and share detailed account plans for each named account
  • Travel to meet with key account contacts on a regular basis
  • Promptly input all business development activities, contacts, and opportunities into the CRM systems
  • Coordinate and communicate across NTI Connect operating companies and functions to deliver the appropriate, delightful customer experience
  • Create long-term, trusting relationships with across multiple levels within the named accounts
  • Help Operating Companies and NTI Connect leadership further understand market dynamics, trends, customer initiatives, and other relevant info to help shape company strategy
  • Plan and host occasional customer events to make customers feel valued
  • Attend industry networking events that named customers are attending
  • Manage expense budget while meeting/exceeding the new business objectives and sales quota as established by the manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in business development or account management with quota responsibility
  • 5+ years’ experience in the fiber service provider industry calling on accounts including AT&T, Comcast, Charter, Cox, Dish Network, and others
  • Excellent listening and notetaking skills with an attention to detail
  • Demonstrated command of writing and verbal communication
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 and products
  • Self-motivated & driven to achieve goals and objectives
  • Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment across multiple accounts

Preferred Qualifications

  • It’s preferred that this candidate be based in the Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, or Denver metro area
  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle Netsuite CRM
  • 2+ years’ experience working in the data center and/or fiber infrastructure industry
  • Technical and/or engineering background in the data center and/or fiber infrastructure industry
  • History selling multiple service lines to across a single customer
