  • Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC is seeking a Communication Specialist III lead the development of timely, high-quality written communication products and activities for NCEZID, providing writing, editing, and related services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies for the general public and other audiences. Conducts research on current antimicrobial resistance (AR) communication materials and methods. Edits and manages public comments for the “Public Health Action Plan to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance” and the “Progress Report on the ActionPlan”. Provides communication support for evaluation, coordination, and collaboration with officials from HHS agencies and other cabinet departments.
  • Provide communication materials as a liaison between Office of Acquisition Resources and DHQP communications programs.
  • Works with AR communication lead: Applies communication theories and models to communication materials development and maintains ongoing tactical communication and partnership activities.
  • Collect data from cross-cutting programs for the development of health communication strategies and products.
  • Conducts audience evaluation, collecting feedback from consumers, monitoring communication channel use, monitors audience demand for materials and publications, and other evaluation tactics to analyze the effectiveness of health communication strategies and messages.
  • Support the communication plans and day-to-day management of CDC AR web development and content.
  • Assist with the development of CDC AR communications strategies.
  • Consolidate a report that includes recommendations and scientific guidance from national and international experts participating in CDC’s external advisory body, the AR Working Group of the OID Board of Scientific Counselors.
  • Travel with CDC staff to provide technical support/assistance to CDC and partner organizations as required AR leadership. Provide logistical support at approved conferences and meetings in relations to communications and antimicrobial resistance activities. Attend CDC approved trainings required to learn new CDC government systems that are not commercially available to complete required task
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

Bachelor’s Degree combined with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of health communication or health education, Master’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of health communication or health education, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
