POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Researches and examines credit risks, assess credit history to determine the creditworthiness of existing and potential bank customers
  • Manages a commercial loan portfolio which includes conducting reviews of existing relationships, renewal of maturing loans, cross sales banking solutions and conducts independent annual review of relationships greater than $500M
  • Assists in the review and development of loan structure for Commercial Loans
  • Makes recommendations for structure of commercial loan transactions and assists loan officers in writing loan requests
  • Manages individual loans within the Bank’s participation portfolio of Fortune 1000 companies
  • Handles national account relationship which require analysis and communication with agent banks
  • Follows up with customers for additional financial/company/industry information for inclusion into loan memorandum; contacts customers to clear documentation exceptions
  • Assists in the renewal and collection of loans
  • Assists in the maintenance and organization of credit files
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the field of commercial lending and changing government regulations
  • Complies with established work schedule and exceed all established position’s goals, objectives, production, quality metrics, and expectations.
  • Assists with the development and update of procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining a positive team atmosphere, as well as, assist with maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, processes, bank’s practices, guidelines, expectations, laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrates consistent professional appearance, image, ethics, integrity, demeanor, and represents the CTB Brand.
  • Leads initiatives, adds value, and supports the Bank’s vision, core values, business principles, goals, and objectives.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned in a positive manner.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum (3) years of credit analysis experience in a banking environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field
  • Working knowledge of commercial loan underwriting in a banking environment with sound understanding of credit worthiness
  • Highly resourceful team player with excellent presentation, interpersonal, relationship building, leadership and organizational skills are essential
  • Proficient using advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, graphs, spreadsheets, tables, etc.); working experience with Microsoft Office, FISERV, other related loan and core banking processing systems
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, tactfully and effectively work across all levels of the organization
  • Outgoing and trustworthy with the ability to effectively handle and maintain confidential matters and information
  • Demonstrated ability to use great judgment, discretion, and reasoning, as well as, make sound business decisions, comprehend, and follows directions and instructions
  • Strong analytical, technical, problem resolution, project management, strategic and critical thinking, research and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high performance and changing environment, and must be able to adaptable to change
  • Excellent quality customer service and telephone skills with a genuine interest in serving customers and the ability to collaborate and build good cross-functional business relationships
  • Must be able to demonstrate and maintain a positive composure and consistently demonstrate professional appearance, demeanor, image, and consistently represents the CTB Brand
  • Ability to produce accurate and organized work with minimum supervision
  • Must be a self-starter who is self-motivated and directed with the ability to handle multiple tasks; goal oriented with the ability to produce quality results, meet all established goals, objectives, deadlines, and expectations; ability to comply with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
