Women’s Residential Program – Full-Time Direct Care Coach

Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral or social sciences, social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field

Summary: Assists the Program Coordinator in providing oversight and supervision of the participants (ages 18-30) in the Women’s Residential Program as they learn life skills, employment skills, and the development of a healthy lifestyle. The Women’s Residential Program Direct Care
Coach is responsible for the daily care and supervision of program participants within the living unit.

Job Duties – The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Maintaining Program Structure:
x Following time schedule laid out in the program x Actively participate in program activities x Perform administrative functions as needed x Transport participants to job interviews, jobs, GED classes, doctor’s appointments, or other daily needs x Complete 15 minute checks in bedrooms each evening for some participants x To provide accountability for participants x Assist participants with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation x Facilitate life skills groups as assigned and provide activities in the evenings and on weekends x Utilize the strength-based approach with participants and staff x May administer random drug screens x Perform check-in when participants return from off-site activities x Complete apartment checks for compliance with program guidelines x Attend Service Plan team meetings x Actively participate in the development of Response Plans x Abide by organization policies and procedures x Turn in daily log

Develop and Model Health Living for Participants:
x Develop intentional connections with the participants x Cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect through words and behaviors x Lead by example in modeling a healthy lifestyle in the body, soul, and spirit x Provide direction and encouragement to program participants x Practice and teach healthy boundaries to program participants

x Navigate interpersonal conflict by speaking the truth in love x Provide support and crisis help as is necessary x Maintain a teachable attitude

x Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers x Documentation of at least two professional, educational or personal references that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children x Satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check determination x Clean driving record is essential to fulfilling the job responsibilities x Participate in all required trainings and show competency in skill areas of training content x Must be 21 years of age or older

Job Type: Full-time
