Full Job Description

Located in front of Atlanta’s king and queen buildings, in a busy Publix shopping strip, Buon Fornello cafe and bottega offers locals and beyond authentic Italian food (and more) with a casual atmosphere. In addition to our brick and mortar location our pop-up oven Kalura (by Buon Fornello), features hand thrown, wood-fired pizzas and serves the entire Atlanta area through private events and neighborhood pop-ups. Our business is growing and we are looking to expand our team and have an immediate opening for an experienced sous chef!

The candidate for this position is team oriented at all times and is ready to work and lead prep cooks with exceptional organization/communication skills. The person in this position is excited to bring their own ideas and creativity to the role while under the wing of owner Chef Giacomo Lazzano. The lucky candidate will experience a true Italian kitchen and grow as the company grows!

  • Experience – preferably 2+ sous chef experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and guidelines without losing sight of the details
  • Capable of managing and maintaining all BOH inventory and order scheduling
  • Adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing job duties with good communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of food and kitchen safety and sanitation standards

Extra bonus points for:

  • Experience with baked goods/bakery
  • Experience as pizzaiolo
