FACILITY ENGINEER / Construction Manager

We are seeking a dependable Facility Engineer who is looking to excel and make a lasting impact on our organization.

As an integral member of our team, the ideal candidate will have a related technical or practical engineering degree and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in facilities and/ or construction management. The Facilities Engineer will plan and deliver the highest quality of work for maintaining life safety requirements, maintenance of our existing, multiple locations and for new site development. You will be responsible for budgeting, compliance to standards, organization, implementation, scheduling and coordination of the needs of existing practice locations and management of the planning, design, budgeting, construction and opening of new site projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and engages in the maintenance of facilities and equipment to company, accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Assures required maintenance, checks, training and documentation done to established standards.
  • Actively maintains current knowledge of facility maintenance requirements and standards in the industry and when necessary develops, gets approval and implements new processes.
  • Critical role in the planning, analysis and management of new development sites/ projects including budgeting, timeline management and coordination of architect, general contractor, and workers.
  • Participation in plan review and value engineering.
  • Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Provides status and appropriate reports as requested to the company executive team.
  • Ability to analyze situations, consider options, and decide on actions quickly
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction site work
  • Ability to negotiate price and terms with service providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Practical Engineering, Facility/Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required
  • 3+ years of relatable experience working in the healthcare sector preferred
  • Experience with outpatient medical facilities, life/ safety requirements sites and new construction a significant advantage
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software is essential
