Front of House Positions

Chip & Pickle To-Go, Delco, Delivery Driver, Food Runner, Orders/Register, Salad Bar, End Person, Catering.

Basic Information

  • Reports to the management staff of the deli.
  • Non-exempt (variable hour position)

  • Must be currently attending high school or a certified GED program or must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively
  • Must have basic memorization skills (ie: ability to memorize menu abbreviations if necessary)
  • Must display strong inter-personal skills such as, but not limited to, smile/positive demeanor, energetic, patient, good listener, passionate and committed to serving customers, must make good eye contact, must display basic manners (“Sir,” “Ma’am,” “thank you”), must display good common sense skills
  • Must dress for success, be well groomed and in a crisp and clean uniform standards
  • Ability to adhere to company’s current uniform standards policy – no visible tatoos

An applicant who is currently infected with or has knowledge that he/she is currently infected with a communicable disease which has been determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as one which is transmissible to the public through the handling of food will not be considered a qualified applicant. An applicant must comply with the applicable city of Department of Health regulations as well as Jason’s Deli dress code policies.

Essential Job Functions
The ability to do the following: stand for extensive periods of time, bend over, reach upwards or outward, twist, turn around, climb up on a ladder in a timely fashion, perform a variety of jobs at a very rapid pace, perform job tasks repetitiously at a very rapid pace for extensive periods of time, work in an environment with temperature fluctuations, maintain regular, predictable attendance, understand and follow directions, use equipment including telephones, cash registers, POS stations, calculators, robocoupe, knives, meat slicers, drills, mixers, can openers, scales and dishwashing machines, and the ability to lift very heavy objects with or without assistance.

Major Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
Preparing food, delivering food, taking orders, interacting with customers, handling cash and/or credit cards, balancing cash drawer, stocking food and product, bussing tables, washing dishes, cleaning (using chemicals), performing basic maintenance, completing applicable reports (ie: driver mileage report) as necessary, daily organizing of products,

Statement of Performance
The Managers of the deli will evaluate performance on an on-going basis and applicant may be eligible for a merit increase once a year, as determined by the General Manager.

Statement of Totality
This position will include any and all other essential and secondary duties assigned by management to ensure the proper functioning of operations and customer hospitality in the deli. The number of hours worked on a weekly basis may not be enough to qualify as a full time employee. Jason’s Deli uses a 12 month look back period to determine eligibility of full time status.
