Georgia Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols: Is our grid safe?

In the energy world that I live in as a Georgia Public Service Commissioner (PSC), Texas has it all. Oil and gas reserves, great sun for solar, legacy coal and gas plants, nuclear units, and the best wind corridor in the United States. They even have their own unique grid and grid operator—ERCOT. But this frigid February week, Mother Nature humbled the Lone Star State. And my constituents are asking if this could happen to us in Georgia?
