Home Depot drops Ego from power equipment brands

Home Depot is cutting a brand from its inventory as part of a “reset” of its outdoor power equipment. The Home Depot Inc. (NYSE: HD) said Tuesday it’s “accelerating its investments” in the reset as it “refines and simplifies its primary brands across the category.” That means, in part, discontinuing the Ego line of outdoor power tools, owned by Chervon Group, and have been sold at Home Depot since 2014.
