PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Technicians are the driving force of the Service department. They handle all customer’s mechanical and maintenance transactions from start to finish while striving to efficiently achieve department and personal goals while maintaining the mission.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Understand and reinforce the Mountain Motorsports mission statement. Greatly exceed expectations. We do the unexpected, we achieve excellence through teamwork and we constantly improve.


Turn a minimum average of 8 hours or more a day


Every morning review schedule to see which jobs you have and complete them in the proper order.


Use schedule to effectively and efficiently plan out your day for maximum efficiency.


Completely read any repair order notes to ensure expectations, diagnostics, and repairs


Document every job in Lightspeed clearly and concisely. Never use industry jargon


Pre-plan the days jobs by staging the next job when you are about to complete the current one


Effectively communicate with Advisors and/or porters if a completed unit needs to be washed or put on a battery charger


Effectively close out any billable hours once appropriate notations are complete on every RO that has been assigned to you


Understand and track daily, weekly and monthly goals. Be goal driven


Maintain a clean work area including lifts and floor


Maintain a safe work area by keeping chemicals safely stored and trip/fall hazards addressed


Mop immediate area nightly if needed


Ensure any/all OEM training modules assigned by Service Manager are completed within 3 days


Work overtime as needed to achieve department goals when productivity is lacking.

Education Requirements
5 to 10 years related experience and/or training.


Written Communication
to include basic computer knowledge i.e. typing and the use of scheduling systems

Frequent telephone and computer usage.


Working under deadlines.


Frequent lifting of up to 50+lbs.


Frequent pushing of up to 100+ lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


Occasional exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.


Frequent working with and around others.


Frequent work around mechanical parts.


Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals.


Frequent work around moving objects, (including animals).


Noise level is low to high.
