Shipco Transport Inc. a leading international cargo transportatio n company has an immediate opening in our Atlanta, GA office, for an experienced National Customer Relations Coordinator

We are looking for a candidate who is organized, highly motivated, reliable and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position’s primary goal and importance is in capturing new customers or inactive customers for any Shipco product. The goal is to identify and properly on board a new/inactive customer by setting them up within our system fully, send them a welcome package of all our products, and nurture the customer making them feel important for a period of time until they are handed off to local sales/managers to further develop.

Key responsibilities:

On Board New Customers:

  • Follow up for proper paperwork for new customers, credit linked, codes created

  • Provide web demos of all Shipco tools

  • Add customer to marketing lists and tariffs

  • Provide Welcome Letter/Package to all new customers

Account Management:

  • Develop new accounts in coordination with Sales Management

  • Build relationships with new/inactive customers

  • Identify and convert new customers from Shipco’s database, E-commerce, market intelligence and any other available resources

Sales Planning & Customer Relationship Management (LINQ)

  • Planning, reporting & statistical analysis of accounts through LINQ or Phoenix

  • Seamlessly pass on on-boarded accounts to sales reps at a set time and monitor the transition to be sure sales rep is taking care of the account

Follow Sales Process:

  • Prospecting

  • Qualifying

  • Quantifying

  • Lead generation

  • Follow up with customers and overseas agents/offices. Thank customers for recent business. Ask for recommendations. Follow up on sales leads.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an inside or outside sales role is required.

  • Industry experience in export, import operations from a NVOCC or freight forwarder background is preferred – whether ocean/air or both.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must have excellent typing skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be detailed orientated, well organized, and skilled in the arts of multi-tasking, follow-up and adherence to firm deadlines.

  • Must be able to function equally well on an independent basis and as part of a team.
