Position: Operations Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with the CFM team to create a mutual understanding of the multiple strategies based on the requirements of the job. Report and communicate recommendations to the SVP.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements of the various activities among team members.
  • Help project managers, facilities management, and engineers in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects
  • Oversee project bid packages as they are being carried out to make sure that the package is done according to outlined specifications and that they also conform to project timetables.
  • Convey needs from the CFM Team members.
  • Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the agency’s relationship with contractors to produce strategic and effective partnerships.
  • Must be able to drive to properties and conduct site visits, work cross-departmentally within the agency, and interact with all levels of employees within the agency and with site staff.
  • Assist in facilitate Pre-construction meetings
  • Compile and submit close-out documentation.
  • Have an understanding of tracking lease agreements, BOA contracts, Master Service Agreements, lease agreement, construction, and facilities management timelines.
  • Understanding of construction, Facilities management software packages.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or any other relevant field
  • A Master’s degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of on the job experience in a construction role or any other construction capacity

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Excellent and effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Possess strong leadership ability, as well as the ability to work as part of a team or even lead a team when called upon.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents. Ability to interpret drawings/blueprints and sketches pertaining to job specs, as well as specifications regarding zoning, permits, environmental and other requirements pertaining to the building site.
  • Ability to be proactive and also to foresee events and react appropriately towards them.
  • The ability to multitask and strategize in different situations.
  • Ability to work and carry out projects within a stipulated time frame or deadline.

Working Conditions:

Generally works in an office environment; however, due to the nature of the position a significant amount of time you will be working at the building sites. During site visits, you will be subject to the elements. Must be able to sit and stand, stoop, and bend. Must be able to work in a deadline-focused and pressure-driven environment. Lifting not usually to exceed 20 pounds. May be required to have a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on the company “Authorized Driver’s List.” Additional hours may be required to meet workload demands
