Packing Utility – 3rd Shift

The qualified candidate will have the ability to work 40+ hours per week. The candidate must be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs., be mechanically inclined, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment with high responsibilities.

Primary responsibility is operation of one packaging line to all FQMS guidelines. This includes but is not limited to the following: Verification of tags and bags; Product sampling; Meeting production goals, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The candidate will also periodically oversee the operation of 2 Premier Tech Palletizers to all FQMS guidelines. Along with keeping the palletizer running the candidate must be able to keep accurate counts of all feed he is loading and must make sure all feed is presentable for a quality sale. Candidate must also oversee 2 Fortress Metal Detectors and check calibration on both each shift. Candidate must be able to correctly sticker and scan each pallet with the ASN scanning system. Candidate must utilize Lock Out Tag Out program on equipment and trailers being loaded/unloaded.

3rd Shift 10PM – 6:30 AM M-F

Wage: $22.56 per hour

High School Diploma or GED required

Required Qualifications & Experiences:
18 years or older and 6+ months of manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:
1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry


Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate.

At times, you may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to engage in productive and collaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. At times, the ability to work overtime also may be required. The ability to perform these requirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
