Tittle: Software Quality Assurance III / QA Lead

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Work closely with Senior IT PM/Business Analyst, DEV and QA members in requirement, design discussion, implementation and decision making.
  • Analyze technical business and data processing problems, and coordinate resolution
  • Assist with the development and execution of test cases, document results and assist with coordinating user acceptance test activities with internal and external clients
  • Coordinate resolution of issues through to closure including verifying defect fixes are appropriate and adequate, documenting updates and ensuring relevant materials
  • Assist with reviewing and providing input to project documentation as required; monitor, assess and mitigate testing risks, monitor and track testing progress
  • Works with development team/QA leadership and come up with appropriate test automation strategies for the various parts of our applications
  • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases
  • Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as oversee and ensure that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
  • Support estimation efforts to help the team determine project timelines
  • Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Set processes for test plan reviews and ensure that the test plans get reviewed by all stakeholders
  • Understanding and defining areas to calculate the overall risk to the project
  • Must able to provide impact analysis on the projects to upper management
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Investigate the root cause analysis and provide the report and feed back to the management / stakeholders
  • Participate in all deployment releases and support production issues
  • Responsible and Accountable of flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.

Education, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of software quality assurance experience, to include a minimum of 3 years in a lead role or management position.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with Automation and Performance Testing (Preferred Selenium framework)
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Strong business and technical vision
  • Experience with the following: Agile, SAFe, Automation Tools, Java, C#, Selenium etc.
  • Experience working with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
  • Experience working with offshore QA associates preferred
  • Expert knowledge on SQL Server
  • Excellent organization and communication skills preferred
  • Must work well with onsite and offshore team.
