Senior Accountant

Job brief

Private equity-backed, rapidly growing provider of highly customized signs, architectural products and commercial real estate branding solutions, with expertise in the multifamily segment. We proudly offer industry-best service, support and advice to our customers, who rely on us as a turnkey partner for properties across the country. Our company is seeking a Senior Accountant at our metro-Atlanta location to maintain its books and records and to provide financial leadership to the organization. The Senior Accountant will have the ability to expand his or her leadership as our company and accounting department grow.

We offer a base salary & performance bonus compensation structure.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and administrative functions

· Take a lead in reviewing, assessing and implementing new accounting and policies, controls and procedures

· Review all journal entries required to reflect ongoing business activities (our company utilizes NetSuite for its accounting platform)

· Manage the ongoing accounts receivable and payable processes, with a particular focus payables and vendors

· Manage payroll and serve as a liaison for employee benefit plans

· Provide regular financial reporting to the General Manager and C-suite of the business

· Serve as the primary point of contact for the company’s bank and credit providers

· Take a lead in preparing annual and periodic budgets

· Serve as the primary point of contact for the company’s outside CPA firm, assisting in annual tax document preparation

· Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Requirements

· Strong work ethic

· 5+ years of private business accounting or relevant work experience

· Ethical, credible and honest with a clean background and financial history

· Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product

· Capable of multi-tasking and maintaining control of multiple tasks

· Quality verbal and writing skills, with comfort communicating both ways

· Comfort managing other employees in the accounting department

· CPA is a plus

· BA/BS degree or equivalent
