The Senior Manager Clinical Analytics, as a strategic partner, builds cross clinical program dashboards, manages data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, executes strategic planning for specific clinical performance issues that directly impact business results. This role serves as an analytics thought leader across the clinical enterprise and provides analytical leadership in the development of the company’s clinically focused plans and programs in addition this role will serve as a key clinical liaison with IT, Operations and Finance. Role will be located in Atlanta.


Essential Functions:

  • Collate, model, interpret and analyze clinical data in order to identify, explain, influence variances and trends in a bidirectional consumable manner both for the branch and regional clinical leaders as well as the business operators
  • Gather information, analyze and present results of multiple clinical programs across all business units (Hospice, Skilled Home Health, Palliative and Community Care)
  • Able to operate effectively in both a team setting and as an individual contributor
  • Provide analytics solutions, analysis, insights and recommendations to support business needs, identify opportunities and impact strategic clinical design
  • Translate core business strategies and organizational needs into actionable analytics initiatives that include statistical and quantitative analyses and reporting of market and /or industry data
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators to measure clinical business success
  • Implement strategic plans, drive goals and objectives and improve clinical performance and model fidelity
  • Research and analyze operational improvement, profitability analysis and business development (ROI, revenue/cost analysis) across clinical programs
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies on: clinical performance across functions
  • Lead and support various project teams in business improvement initiatives including developing an enterprise clinical business review process to support clinically focused KPI dashboards that function in a bidirectional manner with established Monthly Operating Report forums
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Actuarial Science or related field
  • MBA, CPA, MHCA or actuarial credentials preferred
  • HMFA certification preferred
  • Requires 5-6 years’ experience in a Financial Analytics or Finance role with minimum 2 years’ experience in a health care environment (home health preferred)
  • Excellent financial or actuarial background with a passion for healthcare improvement
  • Proven track record of success in developing, improving and explaining financial projection models
  • Able to write queries (SQL, SAS) to develop analyses and build reports
  • Big data and manipulation experience
  • Requires in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment
  • Experience with input of data into functions strategy
  • Organized, efficient and results driven
  • Strong command of technical platforms (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Access)
  • Able to explain variances, trends and enhance modeling techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated; highly analytical person who thrives in ambiguity and promotes improvement across highly matrixed programs and business functions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- ability to collaborate with senior leadership
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must have good and regular attendance.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel: 5-10%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
