Northrop Grumman is seeking a System Security Policy Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This full time position is located in Atlanta, GA. The qualified candidate will support dissemination of vital public health information from a large organization within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, management, direction, or development and advocacy so the organization may effectively conduct information security work.
  • Oversees the information security program of an information system or network, including managing information security implications within the organization, specific program, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic, personnel, infrastructure, requirements, policy enforcement, emergency planning, security awareness, and other resources.
  • Responsible for the information security of a program, organization, system, or enclave.
  • Develop and maintain the information security policy and monitor its compliance; Manage information security standards, procedures, and controls to minimize security risks; Implement access as authorized by Data Custodians.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a minimum of 9 years of experience.
  • Experience creating and auditing documentation needed for SA&A process adhering to the following standards: NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA & Privacy Standards, Infrastructure Security, POA&Ms, SA&A, SCA
  • Strong problem solving skills along with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skill and ability to organize data and information clearly and present to the client.
  • Ability to recommend new and innovative ideas to foster strategic objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High-level resource with B.S./M.S. or equivalent, advanced knowledge, 8-12 years of specialized experience, proficient in multiple technologies, IT strategy and governance, highly successful collaborator, some leadership experience.
  • Experience in managing security of systems needs within CDC.
  • Experience working in an Agile Team
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or TFS
  • Security Certification a plus
