Tax Analyst

Responsible for tax matters, particularly transfer pricing documentation, among others including the existence and the quality of agreements to support intercompany transactions and the correct allocation of overhead charges. Advice on Permanent Establishments issues and giving support to Marel companies regarding VAT related challenges in their Supply Chains. Furthermore the Tax Analyst will be the go-to-person for all kinds of other tax related aspects of Marel’s daily business, and will be able to get questions satisfactory solved.

What you’ll be doing

Key elements of your role include:

  • The design and support of company’s transfer pricing policies
  • Monitor the monthly implementation and organize the related documentation
  • Contributes to the internal Marel guidelines / instructions regarding transfer pricing and (pro)actively organize that intercompany transactions are concluded on at arm’s length’s standard
  • Control that the costs of Marel’s corporate overhead departments and Industries management teams are allocated / charged out in a correct manner
  • Monitor legislative changes in foreign tax laws that may impact company’s tax positions, including indirect taxes and tax accounting implications

What we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Law
  • A solid understanding of corporate tax concepts applicable to multi-national companies is required
  • Position requires an individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience with tax policies of multi-national corporations
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
